Ukrainian Bank Consortium Provides UAH 3 Billion Loan to DTEK for Energy Storage Facilities

DTEK announced that the nearly UAH 3 billion (€67 million) loan will be used to develop one of the largest energy storage projects in Eastern Europe.

The financing is being provided by a consortium of three Ukrainian banks — Oschadbank, PUMB, and Ukrgasbank (UGB).

Under the agreement, which runs through September 25, 2030, five energy storage units with a total capacity of 180 MW will be constructed.

The credit facility will cover part of the project costs, with the remaining funds to be contributed by DTEK itself.

According to the company, the project will help ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to more than 600,000 households.
