The battles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the Russian invaders reached their maximum intensity along the entire line of contact.
This was announced at a briefing on May 26 by Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar.
"Today, the fighting has reached its maximum intensity. The enemy is storming the positions of our troops in several directions at the same time. An extremely difficult and long stage of struggle awaits us ahead. We must understand that this is a war and losses on our part are inevitable," she said.

The enemy continues to advance in the east. At present, the Russian occupiers have concentrated their efforts on the capture of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. To this end, the enemy has pulled additional forces to the areas near Severodonetsk and Lisichansk, and the RF Armed Forces are also trying to take Liman under full control.
According to the experts of the American Institute for the Study of War, in the coming days the invaders will speed up the battle for Severodonetsk. The enemy prioritized an advance east and west from Popasna in order to cut Ukrainian land lines of communication northwest of Severodonetsk and complete the encirclement of the Lugansk region.
In addition, Russian troops are making attempts to resume the offensive against Slavyansk, improving the tactical situation in the Izyum region of the Kharkov region.
The Russian Armed Forces brought a captured boat of the Ukrainian Navy to Zmeiny Island in the Black Sea. According to the military, the rashists are planning provocations.
