The Italian government is preparing a new, more powerful package of military-technical assistance to the Ukrainian army, which will include heavy weapons to resist Russian invaders, abcd24.net reports with reference to ukrmilitary.com.
It is expected that the final list of weapons will be agreed in the coming days, before the visit of Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi to Ukraine, Repubblica and Corriere della Sera report.
Among the weapons considered for delivery to Ukraine are Sidam 25 anti-aircraft self-propelled units based on M113 armored personnel carriers, 155-mm M109 and PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers, M113 armored personnel carriers, Centauro armored combat vehicles (wheeled tanks) and Puma Iveco Lince armored vehicles.
