The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian Mi-28H attack helicopter in the Kharkiv region.
This was announced by volunteer Roman Donik
According to preliminary information, a Russian attack helicopter was shot down in the Ukrainian sky near the village of Bobrivka, which is located northeast of Kharkiv.
According to Donik, another helicopter of the occupiers managed to destroy the soldiers of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after Kosh Ataman Ivan Sirko of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Mi-28N "Night Hunter" with registration number RF-13654 was shot down on Monday, May 9.
This is the third visually confirmed combat loss of a Mi-28 helicopter during a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The Mi-28H attack helicopter is a modified version of the base Mi-28. The modified aircraft had to retain all the qualities of the Mi-28 and also meet the specifics of the ground forces: to work not only during the day but also at night.
Also in any weather, have a high level of autonomy and be fairly easy to operate and repair.
"Night Hunter" is designed to search and destroy in conditions of active fire resistance of tanks and other armored vehicles, as well as low-speed air targets and enemy manpower.
